Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the RecruitEye platform, including our AI-powered resume builder, analyzer, cover letter creator, email generator, web profile builder, interview preparation tools, and all related services.

IMPORTANT: Please read these Terms carefully before using RecruitEye. By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RecruitEye LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, including its subsidiaries and affiliates ("RecruitEye," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the RecruitEye platform, including our website (www.recruiteye.com), mobile applications, desktop applications, AI-powered career tools, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform" or "Services").

1. Eligibility and Account Requirements

1.1 Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use RecruitEye. By using our Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

1.2 Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to maintain its accuracy. False, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in immediate account termination.

2. User Registration and Account Security

2.1 Account Credentials

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you
  • Immediately notifying RecruitEye of any unauthorized access or security breach
  • Ensuring you log out from your account at the end of each session

2.2 Account Restrictions

You may not: (a) share your account with others; (b) create multiple accounts for yourself; (c) create accounts using automated means or under false pretenses; or (d) transfer, sell, or assign your account to any third party without our prior written consent.

3. Platform Services and Features

3.1 AI-Powered Career Tools

RecruitEye provides a comprehensive suite of AI-powered tools designed to optimize your job search, including but not limited to:

  • AI Resume Builder: ATS-optimized templates designed by industry experts with real-time preview and mobile-responsive designs
  • AI Resume Analyzer: Seven-dimension analysis covering gaps, redundancy, quantification, impact, structure, skills alignment, and ATS formatting with actionable improvement suggestions
  • AI Cover Letter Creator: Personalized cover letters that analyze job descriptions and tailor content to company culture with industry-specific language
  • AI Email Generator: Professional email composition with customizable tone, Gmail integration, and templates for application emails, follow-ups, thank you notes, networking outreach, and more
  • AI Web Profile Builder: SEO-optimized personal career website with professional URL, mobile-responsive design, real-time syncing with resume updates, and portfolio showcase capabilities
  • Interview Prep Bot: Comprehensive interview preparation with AI-generated questions based on job descriptions, STAR methodology frameworks, progressive difficulty levels, and practice in text, audio, and video formats

3.2 Service Availability

While we strive to maintain continuous service availability, RecruitEye does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time with or without notice.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

You agree to use RecruitEye only for lawful purposes related to career advancement and job searching, and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Platform to transmit any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in resumes, profiles, or any other content
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation, experience, or qualifications
  • Upload, post, or transmit any content that infringes upon any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers or networks connected to the Platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Platform, other accounts, computer systems, or networks
  • Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Platform without our express written permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or algorithms of the Platform
  • Remove, circumvent, disable, damage, or otherwise interfere with security-related features
  • Use the Platform to distribute spam, chain letters, or other unsolicited communications
  • Collect or harvest any personally identifiable information from other users without their express consent
  • Use AI-generated content to misrepresent your actual skills, experience, or qualifications to employers
  • Abuse the AI tools to generate inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content

5. User-Generated Content

5.1 Your Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit to RecruitEye, including resumes, cover letters, work samples, professional profiles, interview practice recordings, and all other materials ("Your Content"). However, by submitting content, you grant RecruitEye a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Platform services to you.

5.2 Content Standards and Accuracy

You represent and warrant that all content you submit: (a) is accurate, truthful, and not misleading regarding your qualifications and experience; (b) does not infringe any third-party rights; (c) does not contain viruses or malicious code; and (d) complies with these Terms and all applicable laws. You acknowledge that prospective employers will rely on the accuracy of your submitted materials.

5.3 Content Monitoring and Removal

RecruitEye reserves the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, and remove any user content that violates these Terms, is fraudulent or misleading, or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice.

6. AI-Generated Content and Tools

6.1 AI Tool Purpose and Limitations

RecruitEye uses advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide resume optimization, cover letter generation, email composition, interview preparation, and other career services. All AI-generated content and recommendations are provided as suggestions and tools to assist you in creating your own authentic professional materials.

6.2 User Responsibility for AI Content

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all AI-generated content before use
  • AI suggestions must be customized and verified for accuracy before submission to employers
  • You must ensure all final content truthfully represents your actual skills, experience, and qualifications
  • AI-generated enhancements should improve presentation of your genuine accomplishments, not fabricate false credentials
  • You are ultimately responsible for all content submitted to employers, regardless of whether it was AI-assisted

6.3 No Guarantees of Outcomes

While RecruitEye's AI tools are designed to optimize your job search materials, we make no guarantees regarding: (a) job placement success; (b) interview invitations; (c) offer receipt; (d) salary levels; (e) ATS system approval; or (f) employer response rates. Employment outcomes depend on numerous factors beyond our control, including but not limited to your actual qualifications, market conditions, employer preferences, and competition.

6.4 Factual Integrity

RecruitEye's AI is designed to never invent achievements or fabricate qualifications. Our enhancement tools work with your actual experience to improve presentation and language. However, you remain responsible for ensuring all final content accurately represents your genuine background.

7. Payments, Subscriptions, and Billing

7.1 Pricing Plans

RecruitEye offers multiple pricing options to suit different needs:

  • Free Plan: Limited access to core features including limited resume analysis, basic ATS compatibility check, limited AI enhancement suggestions, all resume templates, and basic web profile
  • Premium Monthly Plan: Full access to all platform features billed monthly at $29.99/month
  • Premium Quarterly Plan: Full access to all platform features billed quarterly
  • Premium Annual Plan: Full access to all platform features billed annually at a discounted rate
  • Lifetime Plan: One-time payment for permanent access to all platform features
  • Pay-Per-Use: $0.99 per resume download or $0.99 per cover letter download for users who prefer single-use access

Premium plans include: unlimited resume analyses, full ATS optimization suite, unlimited AI enhancements, all resume templates (20+ designs), AI cover letter generator, AI email generator with Gmail integration, advanced web profile with analytics, Interview Prep Bot with all formats (text, audio, video), and priority email support.

7.2 Payment Authorization

By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize RecruitEye to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected plan frequency (monthly, quarterly, or annual), or as a one-time payment for pay-per-use or lifetime plans. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing information and to update this information promptly if it changes.

7.3 Automatic Renewal

Recurring subscription plans (monthly, quarterly, and annual) automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. You will be charged at the then-current subscription rate. Lifetime plans do not renew. You can cancel recurring subscriptions at any time through your account settings.

7.4 Price Changes

RecruitEye reserves the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will be communicated to active subscribers at least 30 days in advance via email. Price changes will apply to subsequent billing periods after your current subscription term ends. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.

7.5 Failed Payments

If payment cannot be processed for a recurring subscription, we will attempt to notify you via email and may suspend your access to premium features until payment is resolved. We may retry charging your payment method. Continued payment failure may result in automatic downgrade to the free plan.

7.6 Taxes

All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (including sales, use, and value-added taxes), which will be added to your invoice where required by law. You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes associated with your subscription.

8. Cancellation, Refunds, and Downgrades

8.1 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

RecruitEye offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for all new Premium subscriptions (monthly, quarterly, and annual plans) and Lifetime plan purchases. If you are not completely satisfied within the first 14 days of your initial purchase, you may request a full refund by contacting support@recruiteye.com. This guarantee applies only to your first purchase of each plan type and does not apply to renewals or pay-per-use transactions.

8.2 Cancellation of Recurring Subscriptions

You may cancel your recurring subscription (monthly, quarterly, or annual) at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@recruiteye.com. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • You will retain access to all premium features until the current billing period ends
  • No refund will be provided for the remaining days in your current billing period
  • No further charges will occur after the current billing period ends
  • Your account will automatically be downgraded to the Free Plan when the current billing period expires
  • Your content and data will be preserved but access to premium features will be restricted

8.3 Refund Policy

Except for the 14-day money-back guarantee described in Section 8.1:

  • All subscription fees are non-refundable
  • No refunds or credits will be provided for partial subscription periods
  • No refunds will be provided for unused features or services
  • Pay-per-use transactions ($0.99 downloads) are final and non-refundable once the download is completed
  • Lifetime plan purchases are non-refundable after the 14-day money-back guarantee period

8.4 Free Trial Conversion

If you participate in a free trial promotion and do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription plan at the regular rate. To avoid charges, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period expires.

8.5 Downgrade to Free Plan

When your account is downgraded to the Free Plan (whether by cancellation or payment failure):

  • Your resumes, cover letters, and web profiles will remain accessible in view-only mode
  • You will have limited access to analysis and AI enhancement features as specified in the Free Plan
  • Advanced features such as unlimited AI enhancements, Interview Prep Bot, Gmail integration, and advanced analytics will be restricted
  • You may upgrade to a Premium plan at any time to regain full access

9. Privacy and Data Protection

9.1 Privacy Policy

Your use of RecruitEye is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at [Privacy Policy URL] to understand how we collect, use, protect, and share your information.

9.2 Data Collection and Use

RecruitEye collects and processes personal information necessary to provide our services, including but not limited to: account information, resume content, professional profile data, usage analytics, interview practice recordings (temporarily), and payment information. We use this data solely to deliver, improve, and personalize our services.

9.3 Data Security

While we implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption, secure servers, and access controls, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you provide information at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures.

9.4 Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable law, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes.

9.5 Third-Party Integrations

RecruitEye integrates with third-party services such as Gmail, LinkedIn, and payment processors. Your use of these integrations is subject to the third party's terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party data practices.

10. Interview Prep Bot – Audio, Video, and Text Recording Consent

10.1 Explicit Consent Required

By using RecruitEye's Interview Prep Bot features that include audio, video, or text interaction, you provide your explicit, informed consent to have your voice, image, video, and text responses recorded and analyzed for the sole purpose of delivering interview preparation, analysis, feedback, and performance insights.

10.2 Recording Usage and Strict Limitations

Our recording practices include the following safeguards and commitments:

  • Recordings are used exclusively to generate personalized interview analysis, feedback, STAR methodology evaluation, and coaching insights for your individual benefit
  • Recordings are never shared with employers, recruiters, third parties, other users, or any external entities under any circumstances
  • Recordings are not used to train AI models, improve our algorithms, or for any purpose beyond providing you with immediate, individualized feedback
  • Recordings are not retained by RecruitEye unless you explicitly download them to your own device for personal review
  • All recordings are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 14 days of creation, with no exceptions
  • You may request immediate deletion of any recording at any time by contacting support@recruiteye.com, and we will delete it within 24 hours
  • No human employee or contractor at RecruitEye accesses your recordings except as necessary to provide technical support at your explicit request

10.3 Optional Feature with Full Control

Use of audio and video interview practice features is entirely optional and requires affirmative action on your part to activate. You have complete control over recording features:

  • You may use text-based interview preparation tools instead of audio/video features
  • Recording begins only after you explicitly click "Start Recording"
  • Clear visual indicators show when recording is active
  • You can stop or pause recording at any time during practice sessions
  • You receive confirmation when recording has ended
  • You may discontinue use of recording features at any time without penalty or loss of other platform features

10.4 Interview Prep Bot Functionality

The Interview Prep Bot provides:

  • Realistic interview questions generated based on your target job description, company, role, and experience level
  • Practice in multiple formats: text, audio, and video to match modern hiring practices
  • STAR methodology evaluation (Situation, Task, Action, Result) mirroring actual recruiter assessment standards
  • Progressive difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard) that adapt to your performance
  • Constructive feedback on content, structure, clarity, and behavioral storytelling effectiveness
  • Skill development focused on genuine interview competency, not scripted answers or system gaming

10.5 Ethical AI Approach

RecruitEye's Interview Prep Bot is designed for ethical skill development, not shortcuts:

  • We do not provide scripted answers or encourage memorization of generic responses
  • Feedback helps you develop authentic storytelling abilities using your real experiences
  • Practice scenarios build genuine interview skills that work in actual conversations
  • The goal is to help you earn offers through real preparedness, not artificial performance

11. Intellectual Property Rights

11.1 RecruitEye Property

The Platform and all its contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to software, algorithms, code, text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, designs, resume templates, AI models, and user interface) are owned by RecruitEye LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

11.2 Limited License to Users

Subject to these Terms, RecruitEye grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for your personal career advancement purposes. This license does not include any right to:

  • Resell, redistribute, or commercial use of the Platform or its features
  • Collection, extraction, or use of Platform content for training competing AI models
  • Derivative use of the Platform or its proprietary algorithms
  • Downloading, copying, or scraping of Platform data or user information
  • Modification, reverse engineering, or creation of derivative works

11.3 Trademark Notice

"RecruitEye," the RecruitEye logo, and other marks, logos, and service names used on the Platform are trademarks of RecruitEye LLC. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission. All other trademarks, service marks, and logos appearing on the Platform are the property of their respective owners.

11.4 Templates and Content

RecruitEye's resume templates, cover letter formats, email templates, and other content frameworks are proprietary and licensed for your personal use only. You may not redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit these templates outside the Platform.

11.5 Copyright Infringement

If you believe any content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@recruiteye.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing material and its location on the Platform; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (e) a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

12.1 Third-Party Integrations

The Platform integrates with third-party services including but not limited to:

  • Gmail for email composition and sending
  • LinkedIn for profile import and synchronization
  • Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, or similar) for subscription billing
  • Cloud storage and hosting services

RecruitEye does not control and is not responsible for the availability, content, privacy practices, or terms of service of these third-party services.

12.2 External Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, job boards, employer websites, or career resources. These links are provided for your convenience only. RecruitEye does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, products, services, or practices of any third-party websites.

12.3 No Liability for Third Parties

Your interactions with third parties found through the Platform, including job applications, employer communications, interviews, hiring decisions, employment contracts, and purchases of third-party products or services, are solely between you and the third party. RecruitEye is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, or other matters arising from such interactions.

12.4 Third-Party Terms

Use of third-party services through the Platform may be subject to separate terms and conditions and privacy policies imposed by those third parties. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with all applicable third-party terms.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECRUITEYE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS (COLLECTIVELY, "RECRUITEYE PARTIES") DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of AI-generated content, recommendations, or analysis
  • Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Warranties regarding job placement, interview success, offer receipt, salary levels, or career advancement outcomes
  • Warranties that defects or errors will be corrected
  • Warranties that the Platform or servers are free of viruses, malware, or other harmful components
  • Warranties regarding ATS system approval or compatibility with specific employer systems
  • Warranties that AI enhancements will improve your application success rate
  • Warranties regarding the quality, accuracy, or effectiveness of interview preparation or feedback

No advice, information, or statement obtained from RecruitEye or through the Platform, whether oral or written, will create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT EMPLOYMENT DECISIONS ARE MADE BY EMPLOYERS BASED ON NUMEROUS FACTORS BEYOND RESUME OPTIMIZATION, AND THAT RECRUITEYE CANNOT GUARANTEE OR PREDICT HIRING OUTCOMES.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RECRUITEYE PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, business opportunities, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from: (a) your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Platform; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on or through the Platform; (c) any content obtained from the Platform; (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content; or (e) any errors, mistakes
