Refund and Satisfaction Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, satisfaction guarantees, and acceptable use of RecruitEye's AI-powered career platform.

1. Purpose and Scope

This Customer Refund and Satisfaction Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms and conditions under which customers ("you," "your," or "User") may request refunds, exercise satisfaction guarantees, and use RecruitEye LLC products and services ("the Service" or "Platform").

By purchasing or subscribing to any plan offered by RecruitEye LLC ("RecruitEye," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to comply with this Policy, our Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.

This Policy is designed to balance our commitment to customer satisfaction with our responsibility to maintain the integrity, fairness, and sustainability of our business.

At RecruitEye, our mission is to empower job seekers with AI-driven tools that transform potential into opportunity.

We help users achieve real, measurable career outcomes—from optimizing resumes that pass ATS systems to landing interviews and securing job offers. We take pride in our products and stand behind their quality and effectiveness.

Our guiding principle is simple: If you're not satisfied, we'll make it right—within reason and fairness.

To that end, we offer a 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee on all first-time Premium plan purchases.

3. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We provide a 14-day money-back guarantee for all new customers on their first Premium subscription or Lifetime plan purchase.

3.1 Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a refund under our money-back guarantee, you must meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • Time Window: Refund requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days (336 hours) of the original purchase date and time
  • First Purchase Only: The guarantee applies exclusively to your first subscription purchase per account. Subsequent renewals, plan upgrades, or additional purchases are non-refundable
  • Reasonable Usage: Your account must show reasonable and limited usage of platform features. Excessive usage disqualifies you from refund eligibility (see Section 3.3 for usage thresholds)
  • Good Faith Use: The Service must have been used in good faith for its intended purpose (personal career advancement) and not for competitive research, content extraction, or other unauthorized purposes
  • No Prior Refunds: You have not previously received a refund from RecruitEye under any account or email address
  • Account in Good Standing: Your account has not been flagged for Terms of Service violations, abuse, fraud, or misuse

3.2 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under the 14-day money-back guarantee:

  1. Send an email to support@recruiteye.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Include your account email address, order/transaction ID, and purchase date
  3. Provide a brief explanation of why the Service did not meet your needs
  4. Allow our team 3-5 business days to review your request and verify eligibility

Upon approval, refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method. Please allow your financial institution an additional 3-10 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.

3.3 Usage Thresholds for Refund Eligibility

IMPORTANT: The 14-day money-back guarantee is designed for customers who try the platform and find it's not the right fit—not for those who use it extensively and then request a refund.

Accounts demonstrating substantial usage of platform features are ineligible for refunds. Substantial usage is defined as exceeding ANY of the following thresholds:

  • Resume Analysis: More than 3 full resume analyses performed
  • AI Resume Enhancements: More than 20 bullet point regenerations or content enhancements applied
  • Resume Downloads: More than 2 resume downloads in different formats
  • Cover Letters: More than 3 AI-generated cover letters created
  • Professional Emails: More than 5 AI-generated emails created or sent
  • Interview Prep Bot: More than 2 complete interview practice sessions (text, audio, or video)
  • Web Profile: Creation and customization of a professional web profile with published status
  • Overall Platform Time: More than 5 hours of cumulative active usage time

These thresholds are designed to allow genuine trial usage while preventing abuse of the guarantee by users who extract substantial value before requesting refunds.

3.4 Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will NOT be granted under the following circumstances:

  • Refund requests submitted after the 14-day guarantee period has expired
  • Accounts showing substantial usage as defined in Section 3.3
  • Subscription renewals (monthly, quarterly, or annual) after the initial purchase period
  • Plan upgrades or downgrades
  • Pay-per-use transactions ($0.99 resume or cover letter downloads) after download completion
  • Duplicate or multiple refund requests from the same person using different accounts
  • Accounts flagged for abuse, credential sharing, Terms of Service violations, or fraudulent activity
  • Dissatisfaction with job search outcomes, interview results, or hiring decisions by employers
  • Technical issues caused by user error, incompatible devices, or internet connectivity problems on the user's end
  • Requests based on "I forgot to cancel" or "I didn't use it"—users are responsible for managing their subscriptions
  • Chargebacks or payment disputes initiated with financial institutions (see Section 7)

4. Subscription Cancellation Policy

4.1 How to Cancel Your Subscription

You may cancel your recurring subscription (monthly, quarterly, or annual) at any time through:

  • Your account settings under "Subscription Management"
  • Emailing support@recruiteye.com with your cancellation request

4.2 What Happens When You Cancel

Upon cancellation of a recurring subscription:

  • Access Continuation: Your Premium subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • No Pro-Rated Refunds: You will NOT receive a refund for the remaining days in your current billing period
  • No Further Charges: Your payment method will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
  • Automatic Downgrade: When your current billing period expires, your account will automatically be downgraded to the Free Plan
  • Data Preservation: Your resumes, cover letters, web profiles, and other content will remain accessible in view-only or limited-edit mode on the Free Plan
  • Feature Restrictions: Premium features (unlimited AI enhancements, Interview Prep Bot, advanced analytics, Gmail integration) will be restricted to Free Plan limits

4.3 Reactivation

You may reactivate your Premium subscription at any time. Upon reactivation, you will be charged immediately and will regain full access to all Premium features.

5. Non-Refundable Items and Services

The following are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Subscription Renewals: Any automatic renewal charges for monthly, quarterly, or annual plans
  • Pay-Per-Use Downloads: $0.99 resume or cover letter downloads once the file has been generated and downloaded
  • Partial Billing Periods: Unused days or weeks within a subscription billing cycle
  • Lifetime Plan (After 14 Days): Lifetime plan purchases are non-refundable after the 14-day guarantee period expires
  • Feature Add-Ons: Any additional features, credits, or services purchased separately
  • Third-Party Fees: Payment processing fees, currency conversion fees, or other third-party charges

6. Fair Use and Anti-Misuse Policy

IMPORTANT: To protect our business and our community of legitimate users, RecruitEye enforces a strict Fair Use and Anti-Misuse Policy.

You agree to use the Service solely for personal, individual, and lawful career advancement purposes.

RecruitEye reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict any account immediately and without prior notice if misuse, fraud, abuse, or policy violations are suspected or detected.

6.1 Prohibited Conduct

The following activities are strictly prohibited and constitute grounds for immediate account termination without refund:

  • Account Sharing: Sharing login credentials or account access with friends, family members, colleagues, or any other individuals
  • Multi-User Access: Using a single individual subscription for multiple people, teams, organizations, or commercial purposes
  • Content Resale or Distribution: Reproducing, copying, reselling, redistributing, or commercially exploiting RecruitEye content, AI outputs, templates, or materials
  • Automated Exploitation: Using automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or external tools to extract content, exploit features, or circumvent usage limits
  • Refund Abuse: Making repeated, dishonest, or fraudulent refund claims across multiple accounts or time periods
  • False Information: Submitting deliberately false, fraudulent, or misleading information to obtain refunds or extended access
  • Terms Violations: Any violation of our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or other published policies
  • Competitive Intelligence: Using the Service to gather competitive intelligence, reverse-engineer features, or develop competing products
  • System Abuse: Attempting to overwhelm, crash, or exploit vulnerabilities in the Platform's infrastructure

6.2 Consequences of Misuse

If prohibited conduct is detected or reasonably suspected, RecruitEye may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Immediately suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to all Services
  • Forfeit any active refund eligibility or money-back guarantee, even within the 14-day window
  • Prohibit future access to any RecruitEye products, services, or platforms using any account or email address associated with you
  • Retain all payments without refund or credit
  • Pursue legal action for damages, fraud, or intellectual property violations if warranted
  • Report violations to law enforcement, payment processors, or other relevant authorities

No refunds, credits, or access restoration will be granted in cases of confirmed or suspected misuse, abuse, or fraud.

7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting our support team is considered a serious violation of this Policy and may result in permanent account termination.

7.1 Dispute Resolution Process

If you have a billing concern, unauthorized charge, or payment issue, you MUST contact RecruitEye support FIRST at support@recruiteye.com before initiating any chargeback or dispute with your financial institution.

We are committed to resolving legitimate billing issues quickly and fairly. Most concerns can be resolved within 24-48 hours through direct communication.

7.2 Chargeback Consequences

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company without first contacting RecruitEye support:

  • Your account will be immediately and permanently terminated
  • All access to the Platform and your content will be revoked without notice
  • You will be permanently banned from creating new accounts or accessing RecruitEye services in the future
  • You will forfeit any refund eligibility, including the 14-day money-back guarantee
  • RecruitEye reserves the right to pursue collection of unpaid fees plus administrative costs and legal fees

7.3 Legitimate Chargeback Scenarios

The only acceptable reasons for filing a chargeback without first contacting RecruitEye are:

  • Demonstrably fraudulent charges where you did not create an account or make a purchase
  • Unauthorized use of your payment method by a third party
  • Complete inability to contact RecruitEye support after multiple documented attempts over 14+ days

In these cases, please email legal@recruiteye.com simultaneously with your chargeback filing to avoid automatic account termination.

8. Refund Review Process

8.1 Internal Review Procedures

All refund requests undergo internal review to ensure compliance with this Policy and to protect against fraud and abuse.

During the review process, RecruitEye may:

  • Verify your purchase date, transaction details, and payment method
  • Analyze your account usage data, including feature utilization and time spent on the Platform
  • Review your account history for prior refund requests or Terms of Service violations
  • Request additional information, documentation, or clarification from you
  • Contact you via email for follow-up questions or to offer alternative solutions

8.2 Decision Authority

Refund decisions are made at RecruitEye's sole discretion based on the eligibility criteria outlined in this Policy.

Refunds are considered a good-faith gesture to genuine customers who tried the Service and found it was not the right fit—not a recurring entitlement or unconditional right.

8.3 Refund Denials

RecruitEye reserves the right to deny refund requests that:

  • Fall outside the 14-day guarantee window
  • Demonstrate substantial usage exceeding the thresholds in Section 3.3
  • Appear fraudulent, dishonest, or inconsistent with typical customer usage patterns
  • Come from accounts with prior refund history or abuse flags
  • Involve subscription renewals, pay-per-use downloads, or other non-refundable items

If your refund request is denied, you will receive an email explanation. Refund decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

RecruitEye's total liability for any claim arising from or related to this Refund Policy, the Service, or your subscription shall not exceed the total amount you paid to RecruitEye during the most recent billing period (or $100, whichever is greater).

Under no circumstances shall RecruitEye be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of employment opportunities, job offers, or salary negotiations
  • Failure to pass ATS systems or receive interview invitations
  • Employer hiring decisions or application rejections
  • Loss of data, time, or business opportunities
  • Damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service
  • Reliance on AI-generated content or recommendations

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if RecruitEye has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Modifications to This Policy

RecruitEye reserves the right to modify, amend, update, or replace this Refund and Satisfaction Policy at any time without prior notice.

All updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date at the top of the document.

Continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically to stay informed of any changes. Material changes that significantly reduce your rights will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 30 days before taking effect.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

This Refund Policy and any disputes arising from or related to it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Jurisdiction and Venue

All claims, legal proceedings, or disputes arising from or related to this Policy, refund requests, or payment disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, USA.

By using the Service, you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of these courts and waive any objection to jurisdiction or venue in Delaware.

12.3 Binding Arbitration

As outlined in our Terms of Service, disputes are subject to binding arbitration. However, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for urgent matters such as suspected fraud or intellectual property violations.
